Article 4: How to Buy and Connect a Custom Domain in Shopify

 

1. Go to your Shopify Admin and click on Settings at the bottom left corner of the dashboard.

2. Select "Domains" from the Settings menu.

3. Click "Buy New Domain":

   • You will see the option to Buy New Domain. Click on it to start the process.
     
     
     

4. Search for your desired domain:

   • Enter the domain name you want to purchase in the search bar.
   • Shopify will show you the available domains based on your search.
     
     

5. Select your domain:

   • Choose the domain you prefer from the available options. You will see the price for each domain.

6. Click "Buy":

   • Once you’ve chosen the domain you want, click the Buy button to proceed with the purchase.
     

7. Confirm payment details:

   • Shopify will ask for payment information if it’s not already saved. Confirm the payment details and complete the purchase.
     
     

8. Check your email for domain confirmation:

   • After purchasing the domain, you will receive a confirmation email. Click the confirmation link in the email to verify your purchase.

9. Automatic setup:

   • Once you’ve confirmed the domain purchase via email, Shopify will automatically set up the domain for your store. No additional DNS configuration is needed.
